Last weekend Mr. Overkill and I took the kiddos camping at Rock Springs. We LOVE this park and have been looking forward to this trip for months. The second day we were there, the kiddos and I had just gotten out of the spring when we heard “Gator!” I thought, “No way!!! They don’t come out when the spring is full of noisy, splashing swimmers!” But sure enough there was a 4-5 foot gator casually swimming across the spring. I ran to get my camera and was able to get a couple shots of him under water.
The kiddos loved tubing in the spring.
It’s such a beautiful place, and a tranquil natural setting.
Tranquil that is, until Bubba tried to flip me out of my tube….
Ha! Don’t mess with me boy!
After we played for a while we packed it in, and headed back to the campsite for dinner.
And of course, marshmallows… Aunt Cyndi style.
Why do boys turn everything into a weapon….even marshmallows.
Bubba reverted to his “Don’t take a picture of me phase…”
And then decided to just cover his face…
I called him duck-boy for the rest of the evening.
Agh!
Must’ve been good!
Dad
Mr. OverKill and his overkilled s’more!
The next day we hit the spring again.
Shug really enjoyed snorkeling this time.
Tee hee.
This is the place where the Littles liked to get in the spring. It was a nice easy way to get in and on your tube.
The big kids liked to go to the top of the spring head, because it had little rapids…
Woo Hoo!!!
Later we stopped for snacks under a huge oak tree. The lighting was awesome, check out these pics!
Ha ha, got him!
What a cheeser!

We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!
