I mentioned before that I was giving the girls some sewing lessons. Well, I made Tootle’s dress for her, since she was pretty much over the whole sewing thing. And, I really don’t want to push, if she’s not ready.
However, Sugar Belle finished her entire dress. I think they came out very nice.
I made the bonnets, by the way :)
Not sure what the goosy faces are all about…oh wait, there was a guy there trying to make them smile….yeah that kind of back fired.
Anywho, we got them finished up just in time for the girls to wear them on a field trip to Cracker Country.
Cracker Country is a really cool field trip, where the kids get to see 100 + year old buildings. They got to sit in a pioneer type school and write on slates. They learned about washing clothes 100 years ago, and making butter.
They also learned about sugar cane…
and how they used to plant it.
They also made rope and candles. It was a fun and educational trip!
Lest you think I was neglecting my boys…they were with another group, sorry!
