Things that are harder than I thought….
- Making my website look the way I want it! While I do like the challenge of learning new things, I’m not sure my brain can handle all this. Plus, I don’t want to spend more time on it than I should. Priorities, you know???? So, again if the site looks funny, just bare with me.
- Homeschooling. Last week, we were so busy, we didn’t get any school done. This week isn’t looking much better. But, the kiddos are learning important life lessons.
- Watching others suffer. Nuf said.
- Being a mom and being sick.
- Getting people to comment on this site. I really do want to hear what you think.
Okay, enough of the list. How about a sewing update? Hmm, not going so well. SugarBelle can’t find the dress that I wanted to use as a pattern, and I haven’t even had time to think about it! I may just run the Marshall’s or Ross this evening and see if I can find them something. I’m not worried about making sure that they have something new for Easter, but it is a good occasion to get the girls something they need. Or maybe I ought to go shopping in the hand-me-downs I have stored away… hmmm…
You know, I wonder about that. I have a friend(she’s a tad older than me) who said growing up she had one church dress. I get totally frustrated with my girls when they want to wear the same dress two weeks in a row! Last week SugarBelle asked me why I didn’t want them to wear the same dress 2 weeks in a row. I had no good response. Why do I care so much? Sometimes, it’s because they have so many nice things, and I want them to wear them before they out grown them. Although, right now, that’s not necessarily the case, they each have a few nice things for church. So, why do I care?
Hmm… time for deep thought!
Hey there…
I just recently heard the same story you did.
And it DOES make you think doesn’t it.

Was it from the same friend???
Hi — how can I resist a request for comments? Regarding the “look” of your site…I think that you should fix it if you ENJOY fixing it…I receive your daily blogs in my inbox…no frills, no colors….and I enjoy it just as much as I do when I visit you on your “pretty page.” It’s not about what it looks like…it’s about what you say :)
As for Sunday clothes…I have also asked my kids not to wear the same clothes each week…and, well, I don’t really have a good answer either! After giving it about 30 seconds of deep thought, though, I have decided that if God enjoys variety as much as He obviously does (after all, look at His creation!), then He has created US to enjoy variety, too! It’s not a “have to” thing, it’s a “get to” thing!
I LOVE getting comments from my readers, that way I know I have readers ;)
I do enjoy tweeking the site, but it is definitely making me use my brain. Which could be a good thing….
