The other day, I got the bug to start some sewing projects again. Hmm.. three month recovery time from Christmas, I need to remember that! Anyway, a few days later Tootle Bug asked me if I would make the girl’s Easter dresses this year. So, I rifled through my material stockpile and wasn’t to excited by what I found. I was a little discouraged because we only have one fabric store in town and they cater mostly to quilting. Their prices are also extremely high. Now, remember this is coming form a very frugal person. I only like to buy fabric with my handy dandy 40% off coupon.
Back to what I was saying. I then remembered some pretty white material I had stashed away in another stockpile, and went to dig it out.
Very pretty, no?
Here’s the hitch, I only have about 2 and a half yards. So, they definitely won’t be spin-around dresses. I know you’re thinking, what? You know, spin around dresses, the kind when you spin around they get all kind of crazy pretty , and poof out.
But, Sugar Belle has this cute dress that looks like it would be fairly simple to recreate, so that is what I am going to attempt this week. I’ll let you know how it goes.
