I just thought I would drop by with a few random thoughts to get you up to speed on my life. Cause I know you are just feeling like you can’t go on with life unless you know how I’m doing ;)
This week is a busy one, since the kiddos and I are helping with shoebox collection for Operation Christmas Child. In the midst of this busyness, I have also had one child succumb to a stomach bug. Loverly.
I have a few sewing projects I really want to complete get started on, but time being what it is….sigh….
I have been attempting to wrap up my purchases for our new school year, which will likely begin January 9th. Maybe sooner if I can find some ambition to get the house in order between Christmas and New Years.
Speaking of Christmas, as things are still a tad tight around hear, this year the kiddos, Mr. OverKill and I have decided to do a “garage sale” Christmas. Meaning? Well, we are only going to buy Christmas gifts at garage sales (or thrift stores) this year. I guess a more accurate title would have been second-hand Christmas, but the kiddos have kind of latched on to the “Garage Sale Christmas” name :) So far we are doing really well. I have scored THE gift I wanted for Mr. OK, which was very exciting for me. I also snagged some gifts we had already decided on for the kids! What is fun, is every time the kiddos see something new that they want, I say, “Tell your Grandmother!” Perhaps after Christmas, I can share our finds, and what we paid for them.
Moving on….
Lately, I have been juicing every morning. I have found that the added nutrients from juicing, and cutting out about 93% of the meat products I was eating really helps with the inflammation I experience from my autoimmune disease.
Occasionally I have the kiddos drink some. They really don’t enjoy it, but they seem to have a pretty good attitude about the whole thing. Check out this veggie moustache.
Ha ha!
Hope you are having a great week, and thanks for letting me catch up with ya :)
Sounds like you need some BarleyLife! Let me know if you would like me to bring some with me next week!
Is it Gluten free? That is similar to chlorophyll, yes?
The official statement is “barleylife is processed before sprouting. Gluten tests have shown less than 10 parts per million.” Gluten sensitive and celiac people have used barleylife for years without problems, however they will not state that it is totally gluten free. If you would like to try it, I will bring up a jar. There is also a BarleyLife Extra which is berry flavored…Lucy says it is a tastier version of grass :) The kids mix it with Juicy Juice punch and apple juice and they don’t mind it at all. I take the BL plain with water. I don’t mind mine either :)
