So, typically gardening in Florida in the winter-time is a good and helpful thing. However, the last two winters in Florida have been…unique to say the least. In the first hard freeze, I ended up with a ton of damage to my tomatoes and my butternut squash. In the second freeze, I lost the tomatoes and squash all together. Oh, and my green peppers…lost them too.
I decided to plant some spinach, which loves the cold…we’ll see how it goes.
Yesterday, I was encouraged to find a head of broccoli that was ready to harvest. It was enormous.
Not bad for a single head of broccoli.
And it was delicious!
