This past week we held our own little Operation Christmas Child packing party. We’ve been stocking up on supplies all year long.
We dumped everything out and started packing.
Tootle was a packing wonder….look what she did with the cup.
Sugar Belle kept explaining to me how she was packing her shoebox….
Bubba and Little Man packed toolboxes instead of shoeboxes. I think the look on the young man’s face that receives this toolbox will be about like this….
Little Man didn’t want any help packing his box. So, I let him have at it, and then “fixed” it later :)
Bubba was so determined to send this t-shirt.
You know what? I supported him in that and helped him fit it in. Why? Because we pray about what to put into our shoeboxes, and the boy who is going to receive Bubba’s box must need a shirt.
Just an FYI, you can use a toolbox and pack tools for an 11-14 year old boy, if they are roughly the same size.
Tootle Bug was so precious about her box….
It was packed! Then, she wrote the most precious letter to go in the box…
Clearly, she made the card with no help from mom :)
One last encouragement…it’s not too late to pack a shoebox. I guarantee, you will be so blessed!!! To learn more about Operation Christmas Child, and find drop-off locations visit their website http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/index/
Happy packing!
