Well, I spent most of yesterday in bed, and today hasn’t been much different. I was able to get up and do a few things, but find myself tiring quickly and getting lightheaded still. It’s kind of like a forced vacation. My wonderful Mother took my children home with her last night after they had spent the day with my wonderful mother-in-law. Mr. OverKill keeps telling me to take it easy, lay down, etc. Yep, forced vacation.
So, I have made a few observations about life as a couch potato.
1. There is NOTHING worth watching on plain old antenna TV, with the exception of The Cosby Show (but only for an hour!).
2. My house is entirely too quiet without 4 children running around in it.
3. People call you more, when you have a “head injury” than any other time, especially when you are trying to take a nap.
4. Bamboo roman shades do not adequately block out the sunlight.
5. Having a laptop is REALLY nice, especially one with wireless internet. No, it’s not mine, but my Mother generously loaned me my Father’s laptop, but I think she had ulterior motives :)
6. Martha Stewart should not have done an ENTIRE show on blogging.
7. Forced vacations make you think deep thoughts and try to figure out how to make things better – or is that the new year???
8. Uuummmm… time for a nap!
I hope you feel better soon! Is there anything I can do before CPC? Just call me and I’ll be there…You’ve got a friend…(I think that is a song…yeah…I am still on forced vacation too…still sick!)
Yuck! Thanks, but I am doing OK. Mom is keeping the kiddos one more night and Mr. OK came home early tonight. So, we are cool, but thanks, friend :)
