Well, as I mentioned in my Baby Steps post I am working on avoiding gluten. It is going pretty well so far. I have also decided to go ahead and eliminate sugar as well. I allow myself to have dark chocolate, which does have some sugar, and dessert once a week. But, I don’t crave the sugar like I did when I initially stopped eating it.
My exercise is going well. I have been walking 30 minutes per day, 3 days a week for about 6 weeks now. As soon as we get VBS wrapped up next week, I am going to up my walking time to 40 minutes. I have also been jumping on the rebounder for 20 minutes 3 times per week. I had to take a break from that last week, due to my back giving me grief. But, I am getting back on track with that this week.
Now, I am remembering that my ultimate goal is to be healthy and to keep my temple from being defiled. However, I must share, that as of today I have lost 10 pounds! I know some of you are thinking, big whoop. But, to me, it is BIG WHOOP! Anyone who has thyroid issues knows what I am talking about. Our bodies just don’t function normally!
I’m telling you, there’s nothing like hitting a milestone (like loosing ten pounds) to get you motivated to keep going!
