Due to some changes in our plans for Thanksgiving, I am going to be cooking at my house this year. Typically we get together with Mr. OverKill’s parents and their family, but this year we decided to aim for low key. So, today and tomorrow I will be cooking, baking, and sewing a few more Christmas projects. Here’s what is on the menu for Turkey Day:
Garbage Can turkey (that’s a Mr. OK project, I’ll let you know how that goes)
Mashed Potatoes and gravy
Fresh from the Frazzled Mama’s garden green beans and collard greens
Steamed broccolli, cauliflower, and squash
Braided Herb Bread
and for dessert Apple Pie.
My MIL is bringing a fruit plate, Sweet potatoes (YUM), and a new cranberry salad recipe.
I think we should have enough, don’t you?
I better be off now, I am making cinnamon rolls this morning for some of our business associates. It’s a Thanksgiving tradition. But check back later, as I hope to post throughout the day!
