Last Wednesday afternoon I was chatting with a friend on the phone a couple hours before we were supposed to leave for church. She asked me if I had Tootle Bug and Little Man’s “stuff” ready for tonight. I was clueless,
Me: “Uuummmm tonight?”
My dear friend: “Yeah for the parent’s night.”
Me: “UUUuummmm…..yeah I vaguely remember a paper about something, is that tonight!?!”
MDF: “Yeah, you are supposed to have the kids dress up like your occupation, boys like their dad, girls like thier mom.”
Me: (To myself) Crap! (Out loud) Oh, that’s right. I remember now.
So, we scurred home and with an hour to get ready for church, I rushed around and threw together, this…
Not too bad, right? Little Man’s Daddy runs a machine and welding shop. So, Little Man was decked out with “Daddy’s pen, Daddy’s Shar-p, Daddy’s pocket knife, Daddy’s tape measure, Daddy’s work boots, and Daddy’s cell phone”. It was really too cute!
Tootle Bug, I felt like she was getting cheated. How do you dress up like a Frazzled Mama? Good thing I had made the girls these little aprons a year or so ago….Now the shoes, don’t match. I prefer Converse sneakers or flip-flops, or my beloved Crocs.
