That happens a lot lately. A symptom of hormonal imbalance, I’m told. I had a great post in mind..deep and meaningful. Then, Pastor T stole my thunder by preaching on the same topic yesterday. And, now that I sit down to write…I forget what I was going to say.
So, I will just tell you a bit about my day. We started back on a more structured schedule today. The kind of schedule I don’t like, as well as, the kind that my children thrive on. So, for the good of my children, I sucked it up and created a new schedule last week.
Here it is:
As much as I dislike this type of schedule, I like the fact that we get finished up before lunch time, and I can take care of other things, or take a nap…whichever. You will notice that we don’t spend a ton of time on each subject. I have found that it’s not necessary, especially if I am able to sit down, one-on-one with the kiddos.
We have also decided to try doing all of our cleaning chores on Friday morning, in lieu of school. We were just having too many interruptions in the afternoon to get the jobs done consistently. We tried it out last week, and it seemed to work pretty well.
I know what you’re thinking, yet another chore routine. Well, I am trying to roll with the punches and find the right routine for us. At the risk of sounding like I have no clue what I am doing, I post my ideas here, so maybe someone else will benefit from them.
By the way, I have no clue what I’m doing :)
