I decided to make a new wreath for the front door. Something Springy:) I hunted around on Pinterest and decided I would really like to make this cool hydrangea wreath by V and Co..
And, bonus, Spring stems were on sale at Michaels. So, I popped in the other day to grab the hydrangea….
After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I decided that the hydrangea wreath was a tad out of my price range. Even at half price it would have been between $15 and $20! Sorry, I’m a cheap-o. Thankfully, I did have a backup plan. I love paper butterflies and had made some for a birthday party a while back. So, while at Michaels I grabbed 2 sheets of 12×12 scrapbook paper (at $.99 each).
Later that day I sat down with a cup of hot tea and got started on my butterflies. I Googled “butterfly template” and found a ton of printable butterfly shapes that I printed and used to cut out my butterflies.
Then, after fiddling with a few wreaths I had on hand, I settled on a grapevine wreath. I have to say I am very pleased with the results.
The scrapbook paper I bought was printed on both sides, so t was a no brainer way to have coordinating colors.
With butterfly wreaths, the more the merrier. I couldn’t believe I got so many out of 2 sheets of paper!
I really like how the different shaped butterflies look together.
I am so pleased with how this turned out, and the total cost was only $2.50!
Woo HOO!
