Sometimes, I wonder if the children feel loved, special, and unique…. Because of these thoughts, I try to make their birthday special. Mr. OverKill takes the kids out to breakfast, and then to work for a bit. Then, I take them out to lunch and we do some shopping, if they are having a party. They get to ride in the front seat of the big blue van, which they love….But I am always on the look out for new ways to make them feel special to Momma and Dad.
As I’ve mentioned before, I have begun decorating the bookshelf in the family room in seasonal flare. This week, I decided to make a small display for Sugar Belle’s birthday which is coming up all too quickly for my taste.
I got my inspiration on Pinterest, of course :)
I’ve seen several of these types of frames all over the internet, some with string, some with chicken wire. I improvised and made mine with polka dot ribbon, and then attached some “old” pics of Shug with fancy clothes pins.
The original inspiration for this cutie was a balloon wreath. I simply made mine with a Styrofoam ball instead of a wreath.
Thrift store candle sticks and, you guessed it, fancy cupcake liners!
Cute printable, with miniature streamers.
Shug loved it, and I am hoping that I can continue this for the other kiddos.
love it! :)
Thanks!
So cute my friend. I love it! :)
