This past weekend, our family went camping with my Sis, her two boys, and my parents. In the past we have gone camping on Halloween weekend to avoid all the trick or treaters. I think I’ve also mentioned how yucky our neighbors like to decorate…..
Anywho, we went to a park we had never been to before, Tomoka State Park. The park itself is really nice, but is really geared towards kayaking and canoeing.
So, we went down the road and found some really cool sugar mill ruins…
Then, we found some more….
The kids were very interested in them, which kind of surprised me…
We took the opportunity of the lovely weather to have a little Fall fun. The kiddos dressed up, as they would have for a Fall Festival.
The cowgirl.
The army man.
Argh….a pirate.
The hunter.
Even my nephew got in on the action….
He was a…sniper???
We played a few fall festival games….
Mmm…doughnuts on a string…if you look closely, you can see that my Dad cheated a little here…he blamed it on his hearing aids…yeah right!
We also bobbed for apples…Tootle cracks me up, in almost every picture of her, she is snarling and making her finger a hook….ha ha ha! Love that girl!
It was a great trip, great weather, great company, and great memories made. Can’t wait for the next trip!
