Do you know what yesterday was????
Anybody???
Spetember 1st.
And, class, what is supposed to happen in Florida on September 1st???
Anyone???
Right! You’re supposed to have your seeds in the ground for the first round of planting.
Guess what?
Didn’t happen here in Frazzled Mama land…sigh…
See what had happened was (that’s just for you Cyn), we really needed to replace the dirt in our garden. Last years crop was not quite the quality we are used to getting from our spiffy garden. I added lots of good stuff to it, to keep it limping through the season. But, I had decided that there wasn’t any point in planting this season if I didn’t get some fresh dirt. As you can see, I did not :(
Yet…
However, this morning I woke up inspired to at least clean out the old dirt from the troughs, and make a few needed repairs. That way, if by some divine intervention dirt arrives at my home in the next few days, I will be ready. So, sorry Jillian Michaels, my workout today will consist of emptying 3 large gardens of their dirt.
Hey…maybe I should make my own exercise video ;)
LOL That’s what we are in the process if doing, although I have given myself the whole month of September, maybe early Oct. :) THis stuff costs money! And I can’t for the life of me get that tree to grow in my yard! :P
:) By Saturday evening we had fresh dirt in the gardens! Will be planting Monday!!!
soooo I have been admiring those planters since I saw them in your blog last year. Does your hubby (or do you) manufacture them for sale? If so what would one cost??? They do look super easy to make(we’ll by super easy I mean that if you had the tools, time and talent one could whip them up in no time with stuff you could purchase at the big box stores). You have probably blogged a tutorial somewhere, but…since my family lacks in time, tools and talent a tutorial would not be much help especially if I am supposed to plant right now. Help I’m garden challenged and want to start growing something other than avocados, which BTW it the only thing that seems to grow for me lol!
Hmmm….I can ask. :)
