Today I was sitting at my desk….a lot. I have a picture of my sis and I on my bulletin board, and it kept catching my eye.
I love this pic because I really don’t have that many of my Sis and I as adults…just the two of us. But, that’s not why it kept catching my eye. What I noticed was the change in my face over the last year. This picture was taken in May, 2010. I had only been “avoiding” gluten for a month, and had not yet had my diagnosis of Celiac disease, nor had I done the “cleanse from…” you get the picture.
Check this out.
I had no idea how swollen my face was! Granted I dropped quite a few pounds, but it’s just amazing to me how much healthier I look.
I am so thankful that the Lord has been allowing me to get healthy! I know I am still not where I would like to be, or even need to be for that matter. But my health is greatly improved!
What a blessing good health is, and I pray I never take it for granted again.
Ok, I can’t get over how much your hair has grown in a little over a year!!! Does it always grow that fast? It is gorgeous!
Thanks! You know, I think it did grow quite fast this year. I was noticing that too. Not sure if it typically grows that fast or not, but I have been taking lots of supplements. Perhaps they had an effect. Its a good thing you can’t see all the grey ;)
I think you look absolutely beatiful in both pics! -Bekah-
Well thanks :)
