Right now, we don’t have any kind of “paid” TV, like cable or satellite. We do have a good old-fashioned antenna, that picks up maybe 10 stations, at best. And you know what? I like it! I enjoy the fact the the TV isn’t a constant draw to my kids. I like it that they aren’t constantly bombarded by advertisements for things they simply don’t need. Now, we do have access to Hulu, and Netflix, but somehow, it’s just not the same as sitting down and flipping through hundreds of channels.
Let me set up this scenario for you.
Sunday Tootle Bug rented some VHS tapes from the church library, and of course the kiddos wanted to watch them right away. The funny thing is that we only have one small TV that will play VHS tapes. I keep it in the school room, on a nice little shelf, where it can easily be plugged in. So, yesterday the boys had laundry to fold, and they asked if they could watch a show while they folded. I said sure, and this is what I discovered….
Really????? Why did they set it on the floor?
Not sure what Tootle Bug was doing with the laundry basket…maybe trying to use it as a chair….
I love my kids, and I love that they do weird things.
Sometimes…
Hi Margaret! Your kids are so cute! Our TV is just a video player too. :D Yep, getting back to our routine has been a real blessing! How are you? I think of you and your family often. Blessings to you! Rebecca
Thanks Rebecca! We are hanging in there. God has been so faithful and kind to us! Work has been steadily increasing, and He has even given us a job that we are going to be able to turn into a vacation (more on that later :) How are you and your family doing? I have been praying for your little one and her seizures.
