The last few weeks have brought a lot of pain to many of my friends. My heart has been breaking for them as they have walked through these hard times, but it rejoices as well, to see them all clinging to God and not loosing hope. A family that we are very close to lost an 8 week old baby, and then a week later lost a beloved father, uncle, and friend. Another friend just got word that her husband has cancer, and it has already spread. It’s heart wrentching to watch your loved ones suffer. There is no comfort I can give them, so I pray.
At the memorial service for “Uncle Fred” (everyone our age called him that, whether they were related or not), the family had the song “There Will Be a Day” by Jeremy Camp played. I love this song, but it was so personal that day! And this day! Our hope is not here! We know that Uncle Fred is with the Lord now, and he is not suffering anymore. We know that we will see him again, but it is so hard…for us. So I Googled the song this morning and found this neat video and I wanted to share it with you all. I hope you will find it encouraging!
