The last 24 hours have been….horrible. The whole “it gets worse before it gets better.” I’ll spare you the details. The lowdown is, I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night.
I called the pharmacy to ask if this was normal and they said yes. It can take a bit for the new meds to take effect. Loverly. The pharmacist suggested that I take a Benadryl to see if that helped at all.
Boy did it ever! It knocked me out for 5 hours, and alleviated the itching somewhat as well.
Mr. OverKill had a full day of work lined up today. But he put all that aside to care for me and the kids. After we talked this morning and I vented my frustrations, he took the kids to get himself some coffee. By the time he got home, I was out for the count. While I was a asleep he got me mostly caught up on my housework! He and the children cleaned the house, cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, and got the kid’s rooms tidied up.
I woke up feeling a bit better, although somewhat groggy, to a clean house and a happy family.
What a blessing my hubby has been to me today! This day would have been so much different if he had not chosen to stay home and care for me and the children.
I asked the Lord this morning to show me how:
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth,
To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. – Psalm 25:10
Because I surely wasn’t feeling it!
This is a hard path, but the Lord has shown me much mercy today through my hubby and children.
Mercy – a blessing that is an act of divine favor. – Merriam-Webster
