So, my first job (after running that one errand) was to make sure that the leak we had in the utility room was, without a doubt, coming from the washing machine. You know all the troubles I have had with this washer! Am I ever glad that we purchased that extended warranty.
So, the washer has been leaking for several months now. I called the repairman out and he said he couldn’t find a leak. So, I have just been dealing with a slightly damp floor in the utility room, no biggy. Well, the leak has been getting worse and worse, until last week when it finally flooded the utility room.
Back to my job today, I needed to make sure the washer was leaking because when I called the repairman this time, he sounded very skeptical. He said that he tried to get it to leak the last time he was here to no avail. However, he did agree to order a new front for the washer, which will take who knows how long to get here.
Well….I am a bit more than frustrated with this washer, and would really like them to replace it for me. So, I wanted proof. I cleaned out around the washer and pulled it out away from the wall. Then, I ran a load and stood at the ready with my camera. This thing started leaking from not one, but three different places!
Now, in this one, it’s not even leaking from the door, it’s leaking from the top of that panel.
Then, it started rushing out from under the front of the washer….
Then, I checked the back…..good grief!
So, I stopped taking pictures, and starting getting my wet/dry vac ready to use.
I am guessing that I vacuumed up about 2-3 gallons of water! Lovely.
All I have to say is, my utility room floor is really clean, the hard way!
