A few weeks ago, someone asked me if I was still doing cooking through the “Deceptively Delicious” cookbook. Well, the answer is yes and no. I knew that it would be an ongoing project, but I was hoping to cook at least one new recipe per week.
Well, you know, life happened and I have not been able to try one new recipe per week. Hopefully, next week thing will settle down a little bit. I am thinking I need to assign a specific day of the week to try out the new recipe….maybe Friday or Saturday…hmmm…
I definitely find it helpful to plan things out. Some things we are “forced” into a routine with, like things we pay for, music lessons, etc. Other things, we have to really discipline ourselves to accomplish in a routine.
Today I was thinking about some things that I need to add into my routine, and some things that I need to remove from my routine. And, some things the Lord is removing from my routine for me!
There are times when I get frustrated by the constant change I find in my life. I am constantly moving, changing, trying to keep up with four kiddos and the stages they are in. Not to mention, me and my stages. But I should find comfort in the change, because hopefully, I am becoming a more Godly woman each day, as I seek to become more and more like my Savior.
Routine. You know, it can be a good thing, especially if it changes when it needs to :)
Isn’t GREAT to know that God doesn’t change even though we are constantly! My husband wants me to have more of a routine in some areas…can we say rebellious!? :)
Ha ha, I know that you hate the thought of a routine!!! But, I sure do find it helpful, sometimes. I know that for me having 4 kiddos, it has to be a flexible routine! You’re routine would have to be a contortionist :)
LOL! Every time I try to set a routine, someone messes it up! :) Now go figure… :)
