So, maybe you’ve noticed a bit of silence around here. Maybe, you have also noticed a lack of “P90” posts. Well, I feel the need to explain. Not to you, and not to my “marathon running friends,” but to myself.
Let’s see…Thursday was an all day marathon to get the 6 of us ready to go camping, including packing the camper. In my book, that’s all the cardio I need for one day.
Friday was an all-day field trip to Silver Springs (a post on that will be appearing soon – I hope). Nuf said!
Saturday, getting myself, and 4 kiddos ready for a birthday party in the camper. Then cleaning the camper and helping to get it taken down before leaving for said birthday party. Then, driving home, unpacking camper, bathing kids, cooking dinner, getting clothes ready for church, and one more thing :) I think that is plenty of endurance training.
Sunday – is my day of rest!
Monday – I had a Mom’s meeting for our homeschool group and we were having a shower for a couple of moms. A pampering shower…trust me this cake didn’t make itself! Do you know what kind of workout it is to roll out fondant? I’d like to see Tony do that!
In all seriousness, I have not given up on exercise or P90, I really like it. But, I do have to be realistic. I can feel my body getting worn down. I need to be mindful that having a jammed packed day full of kids, chores, homeschool, and some days, ministry, if I was to push it and exercise that hard, it would tear my body down…I want to build it up. So, this hectic week, my body is getting a short sabbatical from P90. Never fear, I will be starting up again on Monday. As for this week, life itself will provide plenty of “natural” exercise.
