The hostess in me always wants to put on Thanksgiving, in the mythical Martha Stewart tradition.
But alas, the only time I have hosted Thanksgiving was last year, and it was a spur of the moment thing…
We typically have Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. OverKill’s family. It’s a huge gathering, we eat on paper plates (no one owns that much china!), and the kids play games out in the yard. My contribution to this year’s dinner…apple pie!
It’s no Martha Stewart gathering, but we always have a good time, and the food is awesome.
Wherever you are today, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and pause to remember all the thing you have to be thankful for!
“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”–Psalm 95:1-6
