Earlier this year I had the privilege of going to the Children’s Pastor’s Conference. It was a very encouraging time for me, to see all these people so invested in children. There were many wonderful things that impacted me that weekend, but I would have to say being introduced to The Go Fish Guys is right up there at the top. Who are The Go Fish Guys? I’m so glad you asked!
Not all of there music is rock style, check out this one….
Their slogan is “Great Music for Kids That Won’t Drive Their Parents Bonkers!” I picked up all the CD’s they had avalible at the conference, and I have yet to meet a kid that doesn’t like them! I am so excited about their new Christmas CD coming out called “Snow”, and they are also working on “Party Like a Preschooler”. My understanding is that this will be all well know preschool aged tunes, with a Go Fish twist.
The best thing about the Go Fish Guys is that their heart is really for kids to know and serve the Lord. And they don’t pull any punches. One of my favorite songs is “Gotta Move” which talks about not being afraid to step out of our comfort zone and speak up for Christ. I think the best line in the whole song says ” Trying to sensitive has got us in a mess. Put on your armor and take one in the chest!” Wow, what’s cool is that my kids have asked me, what that means…
So give them a try! There are a lot of free videos on YouTube, and here is a link for a free virtual CD
