I have spent a great deal of time working on a schedule for our homeschool day. I found that there needs to be some type of lesson plan, or nothing gets accomplished. However, once again, life happened. Tootle Bug had a chance to go to work with Mr. OverKill yesterday morning, so now she is “a day behind” in the lessons I had put together for her. Add to that the fact that we keep having things come up that we have to deal with in the morning, so school has been shifted to the afternoon. Which really isn’t a big deal. But you see, I am a little OCD when it comes to a schedule. If I have written down that reading with Tootle needs to happen at 11:30, then it needs to happen at 11:30, not 10:30, not 11:35. I know, I’m weird. Are you just now realizing this? What’s crazy is that I am the one who made the schedule!
So, I am trying to make my brain quit doing flip-flops today, because once again, school is being shifted to the afternoon. Maybe we should just start doing school in the afternoon all together….no I don’t like that one bit!
Perhaps what I shall do is just take the times off of my nifty little schedule and just put time increments, that way we can start whenever we please. Yeah, that might be the ticket.
And now, you know what it’s like inside my head. I’m sorry if I have scarred any of you…
Oh, and by the way…the Memory Verse of the Day…yeah those who know me in real life, please don’t quiz my children…you will be sadly dissapointed.
I lost my cards! And then, life happend. But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? We will keep plugging away at it. Maybe I should rename it Memory Verse for two or three days…..
Again, my apologies…Aren’t you glad you don’t live in my head?
Hey! Sorry I threw your schedule off today. :S Thanks a million though!!!! :D
Well…technically, you didn’t throw me off, the repair man did. He could only come in the afternoon, so I had to switch my appointment with you. No worries, we got most of it done…until the plumber came over and threw me off again. Now, the kiddos are off with grandma and I am going to clean up my pigsty!
LOL :D
