Well, we are hanging in there! The kids are having a blast!
I was able to get a few shots at our morning rally today. Each morning, there is a worship time, and a skit about the Bible story the kids are studying. It’s pretty much a “Veggie-tale”style skit, they alter the Bible story to help the kids to relate to it better. For example, instead of saying that the King got drunk, they say he drank too much Mountain Dew…the King loves Mountain Dew, can you tell???
Our boy’s cabin was the first to say their Bible verse today. Plus, they were only one of three! We were so proud!!!
The counselors had even made up some hand motions to help the boys remember.
After Rally and quiet time the kids went out to play some cool games…The girls were playing tug-o-war on a giant slip-n-slide.
Their team won!!!!
The boys were playing a crazy kick-ball type game, also on a slip-n-slide, and the bases were kiddy pools. Fun!
Boys + slip-n-slide + tagging people out = FUN!!!!
After some lunch, the chaperones had it easy, the kiddos were all in the same place.
The girls had the first shot at the low ropes….
They did awesome!
Even the counselors got in on the fun!
While the girls started on the low ropes, the boys took a nature hike. Isn’t it beautiful???
When it was the boys turn, they had a slightly different approach to things…
But, they eventually got it right.
With a little help…
Both the boys and girls were able to do the trust exercise as well….
They really trusted each other. They kept saying, “We have your life in our hands!”
We are really enjoying our time her with the kiddos, and so far they are all having a blast as well!
