This week is Vacation Bible School at our church. Somehow, last year I got roped into being the “on stage” person. That means that I get to get up on the stage (they even give me a microphone), act goofy and try to get the kids excited about VBS. This year we are doing Crocodile Dock, a VBS put together by Group. I am hoping to get some pics up with a few decorating tips tomorrow, but we shall see.
So, I was thinking about VBS and wondering how beneficial it is to my kiddos. They have all made professions of faith, and show areas of growth in their Spiritual lives. Tonight I got my answer, and I have to say all the effort that I have put into VBS over the last 10 days has been SO worth it.
Tonight Little Man…remember him?
Tonight, in the middle of a nasty thunder/lightening storm he came in the house from the van telling me “Mommy I don’t have to be afraid because God is with me”. Of course, I responded with “Fear Not!” (It’s a VBS thing). But wow, that is application! He has moved from knowledge, to application and understanding. Yeah! Go You Little Man!
Cool! Way to go Little Man. Auntie say “Fear Not” too.
My little boys were yelling that around the house last night! :) Good thing I read your blog so I knew what was up!
